      We made it across ohio in 4 hours, and I think we stopped to pee about 20 times. We stayed at Matt's house, an old friend and chef from the Vanderbilt.       ... especially to see an old style soda-jerk drug store. What a disappointment.(dis-serpent-ment) It was a typical small pharmacy with a Radio Shack agency inside (that did not make sense) and in the back corner was a high counter where you could buy a soft drink or milk shake and toasted sandwich. There were supposed to be bottles and old wares from years ago on the shelves but I have seen better in chemist shops at home that are not trying to be different. Was not worth the detour.

      ... s sleep and headed out in the rain, one of the few times we have encountered it. Strange because it rained while we were in St. Louis and the short remaining portions of Missouri.
