I didnt have much energy to focus on getting through quickly and easily, and I suppose my expectations of American border security didnt help the matter either, but at least it made my 34 trip a little bit more exciting! It started with the fact that I hadnt really filled out a green card. I mean, I wasnt going "into" the country - just the 100m of sidewalk between terminal 3 and 4 :) And then of course on the green card you need to have where you are staying ...

... Crew was average. (London based). Service was sporadic which means that Business Class must have been full. Parted ways with the other family at LAX as they were staying on NZ1. Then we got the full LAX experience. QQQQ.At least all the bags made it. Bus ride to Anaheim and another day of travelling done.

... Knights were winning right until the last few seconds when Warren High School tied and extra time was announced. Again it was close but the high school won in the dying moments. We had a great view, bagging the front benches right behind the Hollywood Knight's player bench, although my camera wasn't working well with the lighting so I didn't take many photos. ... Het strand is mooi maar het water is bijzonder koud. We poseren even aan een baywatch hokje en wandelen verder tot onder de pier. Eigenlijk vind ik de onderkant mooier dan de bovenkant! Ook wanner ik de pier in tegenlicht fotografeer, is het al mooier want de kleuren van de rollercoaster en het reuzenrad zijn vreselijk. 's Avonds is het wel mooi met al de lichtjes. Dan nemen we de bus nog even verder tot Venice Beach maar ook hier is niet veel te zien. Eigenlijk ...

... They are famous whole world. It's totally great. I understand that here crowd of building and they are looking great. Mostly people want to come here. Their lakes are so nice and stay here and enjoy boating. Hiking is the best in Los Angeles. I want do but my friend not with me. They are going to other side so I can't do this but when I came next time then I do hiking. I think this is great to me.

... not through force. I am well over 2,000 words and in danger of repeating myself and/or sounding existentially obtuse....so, in sum, it was a wild ride. One that I'll never forgot. One that will change my life for the better. One that I'll be able to look back upon with tender merriment. One that I can only hope each of you will get to experience sometime (maybe with me in a few years). And, finally, one that I am glad is over.

We stayed over at Jo's flat as it was a walkable distance from the downtown area and she was kind enough to put us up and cook us bacon and eggs in the morning to feed the hangovers! Top girl! Padrinos Juvenile Center, where I remained for several days, until my father came out to claim me and I was then extradited back to Indiana, where I served a little more time and then was released on Probation and House Arrest. I called the number and spoke with Bubba several times, then Paul got a cell phone and we spoke often. This is when the dream, the seed, was planted within me and the sound of those soft ocean waves in the background filled my heart with hope and sorrow equally...

... were some of the celebrities playing. Robert Reed looked like he was bored out of his mind in between filming. Florence Henderson was totally wild and rather spicy...not at all what you would expect from her--or at least her character any way. After that we drove up to the Hollywood sign. Very cool. We had a fun dinner at Ed Debevics. It's like an old time diner with saucy servers. We had a great day.
