          ... could bite through my leg easily if it wanted to. It's like a bear. They took us out to an awesome hot-dog restaurant. You could order hotdogs with all sorts of combinations! And there was karaoke, which was rather entertaining as it was exceptionally awful.           ... we called Derek to let him know we would be at Polaris soon. He beat us there and was sitting at the bar when we arrived. For supper I got shepherd's pie, Derek had fish and chips and Larry got the pot roast. Derek came to the house for a while and we watched Rick Steves Scotland and then an episode of Vicious - classic British humor with Ian McKellan and Derek Jacobi. Derek went home and we went to bed.

          When we arrived it was through the back door. No standing in long queues with all the kids for us. Oh No. To the office suite where John signed us in and we met our guide for the next couple of hours, Stephanie. Stephanie showed us to a little golf buggy, we jumped in and off we sped.           ... whilst we were staying with them so unfortunately we didn't get to see much of Maryline but John had a bit more flexibility in his job as a lawyer and was able to take a fair bit of time off to spend with us which was great.

          The first morning he was looking forward to showing Bryan the local pool at the University. So they were up and out before 6am. Bryan did say it was a great pool it's just a problem having to turn around every 50 metres!
