Visited with my lovely Sri Lankan friends - the whole family was home and Samantha ( college student coming off weird hours for exam prep) even got up to greet me. And Dylan and Ryan so 'grown up' now. Sanjiv and Nyanja ( sp?/ my apologies ) both looking well and no older despite the 8-9 yr. passed!!! ... on Davis - neither of these 2 Union Troops knew of the other and unfortunately after trading "friendly fire" two soldiers from Michigan were shot and killed and one from Wisconsin. (Coincidently the soldier from Wisconsin was named John Hines (my dad's brother was named John Hynes)! A relative? Not sure.

And so our great journey comes to a close...we took it easy this morning and pulled into town after 7 PM. We arrived to find that our cat Chloe happy, healthy, and affectionate, thanks to the services of a local pet sitter.
