Overnight with a view
I must admit I didn't spend much time in Buffalo, as it was just a place where we spent the night during our weekend at the Niagara Falls. The Hotel was great anyway: probably one of the best beds I've ever slept in! It's not in the town centre (closer to Lake Erie) but from the windows, I got a great view of the town. Great value for your money!
Day 4 and 5 - NYC to Buffalo
... I'd departed the city I'd be marooned in an airport holiday inn express with no restaurant and no cooking facilities. Best I could come up with was an instant rice pot that could be made up with boiling water. I booked a shuttle to take me to the airport as the Holiday Inn express ran a free shuttle service from the airport so I figured it would be cheaper to do that than get a taxi all the way to the hotel from Manhattan. Mealy in the Mist
We arrive at a very raining Buffalo on Friday 19th October at 11.55pm after our looooong train journey. It's absolutely ******* it down. Standard. Everywhere we go it rains! We aren't unable to check into our hostel downtown until 4pm and it doesn't open till 8am so we spend the next 8 hours sitting in this empty waiting room. It kinda feels like we are in a padded cell!
