I must admit I didn't spend much time in Buffalo, as it was just a place where we spent the night during our weekend at the Niagara Falls. The Hotel was great anyway: probably one of the best beds I've ever slept in! It's not in the town centre (closer to Lake Erie) but from the windows, I got a great view of the town. Great value for your money!
We're off!! We left Nobleton today around 12:30pm and headed for the border. Crossing was easy and then we had some errands to do in Niagara Falls and Buffalo. Also did some shopping and picked up some groceries. We had dinner at La Tolteca, which is a Mexican restaurant, and they even had a live mariachi band. The food and the Dos Equis were delicious. Tomorrow we head further south to Fairmount, West ...
... that it all just looked real, not like it was layers sticking out in front of each other, and the movement didn't blur at speed, so nothing made me uncomfortable. I was really impressed.
It was odd, though. It really didn't look film-ish. It looked like a tv show, in some ways, and after a little while, it just looked real.
After the show, we were heading back to the car, when I had my first slip on the ice. I didn't have any trouble ...
... on meeting me *g* She and I were support crew for Raquel's appointment, where everything went basically smoothly. We spent a bit of time hanging around there, waiting for the doctor to come back after he'd talked about stuff. It was a good chance to talk to Jackie.
From there, Jackie wanted to take me to see some things *g*
So we walked up to the bus stop, a few blocks across the city, and caught the bus across town to Amvets, Jackie's favourite ...
... awkward plastic chairs I attempt to sleep upwards, as I have done in the past. At 8am on the DOT we jump in a cab and head to Buffalo Hostel Downtown. The lady on reception, Jessica, is lovely! She's so happy and friendly! Thank god our dorms available and we head straight upstairs for a much needed nap... Zzzzz... 3 hours later we wake up and head downtown Buffalo to see what's about. FYI, Buffalo doesn't have much to offer other ...
