... Hopefully use up enough mouthwash and peanut butter before we get on a plane to Malta. I can't live up to Lynn's blog standard. I don't promise pix of every meal we consume. It was another character building day! There is an old saying; "The worst day on a motorcycle is better than the best day at work". I keep repeating it to myself like a mantra, and I might even believe it!
In the past, unless I had a specific destination in mind, I would go to the Great Basin National Monument area (Nevada, Colorado, Arizona) and just hang out. I see now the advantages of going to the desert.
... company run by native Indians and had an amazing air boat trip across the swamps. Our guide found plenty of alligators hidden in the undergrowth. Another amazing experience. We hit the road again and did the 130 odd miles to Naples, a very upmarket beach town. We checked in to the hotel, changed and went down to the bar and sat watching the most incredible sun set over a white sandy beach. It's like time is literally being dragged along by myself and Dan.... I wish we could pull it a bit faster! I am so antsy to leave it's not even funny!
Everything is a countdown...... though it's not like there hasn't been multiple countdowns for something or another in my life this year. (I waste a lot of battery life checking my app)

Time is flying by. I thought I would be more prepared by now. Every now and then I feel the anxiety creep into my chest and find myself thinking of storage units, Stevens well being, the future of my job, my lack of training, etc. Then I take a deep breath and say the hotel saying "it is what it is".
