... floor and face aft.. and row the boat stern first facing downstream.. like sitting on a datum line.. fore of center... in a sense maybe its actually aft of center depending on how you look at it... so if I were flying backwards down stream .. facing the tail of the plane... anyway.... the boat was easier to control... as nutty as it sounds.. it was..........

We arrived at our friends the Skoglunds' house last Thursday, still in the overwhelming heat and humidity. After a couple of nights at the Montage, anything will be a disappointment. But so far the indifference of the desk staff bordered on rude, the choice of refreshments and meals are woeful unless you are enamoured of vending machine frozen lasagne and cup of soups. The towels are thin and the bed linen looks like it has already been slept in. But it is 2.30am local time and we need to crash.
... did a fabulous job of changing the tire on the rig. Completely shredded...but at least the spare was fine and within an hour we were on our way. Got through downtown St. Louis and within an hour there was another bang. Looked out the window and this time on the passenger side rubber was flying and also parts of the RV. Fortunately we were right ...
