Great place to stay...within walking distance to the Galleria and many other shopping and restaurant venues. Staff always friendly and professional. They remembered me from my last visit...always referred to by last name. Our hotel choice for a stay in Houston.

Houston, we're not Kennedy Space Center

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 05, 2015

... After the tour we looked at the space artefacts and watched a few movies/documentaries. There isn't as much to see and do at the center compared to Kennedy so we left at about 3pm a little disappointed (spoiled perhaps at going to Kennedy first). For dinner we got some Chinese food and called it a night. The Chinese good wasn't that good - Sam had Mongolian Chicken (lots of onion) and I had sweet and sour pork (too sweet, or not enough sour ...

Another drive today, this time to Seabrook which is 20 minutes south of Houston. It was a 4 hour drive and we were surprised by the amount of greenery and trees around during the drive. We expected more sparse areas, desert and brown. The drive took us right through Houston, and it got a little hairy driving through it because of some crazy drivers. Fortunately ...

2011 will be my year of travel and discovery

A travel blog entry by slojuk on Jan 24, 2011

... silly thoughts (I have quite a few) and cultural disconnections as they come. My travel goals include: learning a few new words, making new friends, immersing myself in culture and experiencing the unexpected. Be sure to check back occasionally to see where I've been and what I'm up to.

In 8 sleeps I'll be off on my first adventure of 2011 - Venice, Italy.

          Ciao bella.

One Day, Two Nights at Home

... it was unacceptably easy to fall asleep. I guess I'm getting "old." Woke up the next morning (again after almost literally crawling upstairs to be in the middle of the night) and packed by bags for three weeks in Europe. I had only been home for a full day and two nights, but hey, why spend precious time off sitting around relaxing at home when you can do it at someone else's?

          Heathrow to Houston

A travel blog entry by chella on Jun 02, 2008

Oh did a bit more shopping at Heathrow! Then off to Houston for an 8 hour flight! Unfortunately we did not get "bumped" up to business class this trip, but did get to experience the Premium class we had originally signed up for. Not too bad, more leg room and space, but service was questionable. Info to ...
