... and tornado watch west of us, right where I had planned to drive. Quick change of plans. Drive north 50 miles to I-80 then I-80 to Des Moines and hope the severe weather stayed south of us. We were almost half way to I-80 when we ran into the first thunder storm. I was doing 65 when I hit the south edge of the storm. As the rain got heavier and visibility kept dropping, I slowed to 60 then 50 then 40 ...

... That this incident was from a small piece of foam breaking away and hitting one of the side panels. Engineers argued for the 16 days that they were in space about if it could have been responsible for the hole in the side of the rocket. Turns out it was. It proved the need for more engineers in the world and how we still have so much to learn about materials research and their application at such high speeds. I learnt a lot and it proved that I have lots to research. Great keynote. ...

... everyone is connected somehow in this world. I hung out with them a bit to pass the time, and found out that some people didn't do their homework, as some didn't have a visa to Brazil. No trip for you!
