I went to Dallas on a work-related trip, and my coworker selected this property. This was my first stay at an Embassy Suites, and after my great experience here, it will not be my last!
After a long flight and a short ride from Love Field, we walked through the hotel doors to the sound of a jubilant desk clerk saying, "Yay!" She immediately made me smile. It turned out she was from Chicago and was happy to see the Chicago Bears logo on my shirt. She was so welcoming and warm that it really set the tone for a great stay.
We arrived during the manager's reception, which is held nightly from 6-7:30. They offer complimentary light snacks and cocktails to their guests as a thank you for selecting their property. We decided to imbibe before heading to dinner. The vegetable platter was fresh, the mixed nuts were delicious, and the bartender was very nice.
The hotel boasts a large lounge area with couches, chairs and tables that make it feel very homey. It's nice to be able to have a separate area to relax outside the hotel room without having to leave the property. My favorite part of the lobby was the water feature complete with two swans named Baron and Queen. They were so elegant and graceful. It was great to watch them glide along the water.
There is also an indoor pool and spa that could be seen from the lobby, and it looked so refreshing that I was sorry I didn't being my swimsuit.
The rooms are equally fantastic! We stayed in a two room suite with a separate living area and bedroom with two queen beds. They are very clean and comfortable with fluffy comforters and crisp, white sheets. There is ample seating in the living area as well as two desk areas which made working very easy. There are also plugs in the bases of the lamps which is so convenient!
The bathroom was roomy and nicely equipped. The hair dryer they provide is full size and there is lots of counter space. The shower is also roomy, and the water pressure is perfectly steady!
They offer breakfast in the morning. There are many choices including selections that are cooked to order. I opted for the omelet with everything. They even had jalapenos. It was very good and my bacon on the side was nice and crisp. The chef and the breakfast staff were all very courteous and helpful. Other selections included pancakes, oatmeal, varieties of pastries, bagels, English muffins, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, and more! There is a lot of seating in the dining area, so it was easy to settle in and enjoy.
Every staff member I interacted with was incredibly hospitable and engaging. I will happily recommend this property to others, and next time I'm in Dallas, I'll be back!

Landed in DFW, got a fun ride with a religious Pakistani Taxi Driver who spoke about the principals of Islam for the duration of the ride. It was actually pretty cool since I am quite ignorant about Islamic beliefs. He really did clarify some misconceptions about Islam. It's a good religion as far as religions go. He also shared some ...

I left Dallas to move to Germany today. I just graduated high school yesterday and it was very heartbreaking to have to say goodbye to my friends and family, but I am so excited to start this new journey in my life. I know that my year in Germany will be the best year of my entire life and I'm so excited to make it happen. It may be far away, but sometime's distance brings things together. Life is going to change starting now and I couldn't be more ...

... dropped me off in Lewisville and left me on the side of the road to try my luck. I was trying to get up to Oklahoma City to meet my friend Laura. It was a straight shot on I-35 and it was only a couple hundred miles, so I figured it would be easy. I had hitched in Europe and Central America. That had gone well. Would this be any different? Yeah, it ...
