... desert later in the evening. All in all we could not have asked for friendlier and more accommodating people. During our Northern American travels we have experienced such friendliness and more than any of our previous trips.

A familiar scene for us. Girls up early eagerly awaiting the alarm, bags mostly packed, Matt and Jen preparing mentally for a four hour drive (more so regarding sanity than traffic)...'we're on the road again'. This was formally our last US leg drive. Breakfast, car packed, four chocolate cookies from Reception received and we were ready to leave Charlotte.

I didn't have any way to know if I would be returning to China. I did know that since I've been in the Peace Corps everyone that had been medevaced to the US from China, had not returned. The Peace Corps policy is: If you are out of the country(China) for more than 45 days you will be medically separated. That means your service ends and you don't return.
