Well, actually, Avril is no longer in Paris - I'm in Provence, having already spent 5 days in the City of Light and a weekend in Normandy. But such are the daily demands of vacationing that I haven't had a chance to write since the day I arrived. Leaving Villandry yesterday we cycled on a lovely path alongside the river Cher into Tours.

Tours is the capital of the Touraine region and is referred to as a miniature Paris for its cosmopolitan air and its wide boulevards. Our bike route took us right through the city on one of these boulevards from our entry point in the south side of the city by a lake right along to where it crossed the Loire where it took us out of the city.
