    ... of Pedhi...a quiet fishing village. Here we enjoy a wonderful lunch of saganaki, Aubergine salad and beet root with garlic...all washed down with a litre of the house rose. What a shame our ferry was cancelled!
    We return by local bus - an experience in itself. Up the narrow winding streets, over the hill and there again is the wonderful view of Symi in the late afternoon light.

    ... Ti bar just down from Villa Nikola, dangle feet in the water, cooling breezes fill the air...another gin... Dinner at one of the Tavernas on the harbour...one night we are so animated by all the action on the water that the owner brings us a complimentary carafe of wine so we can continue to enjoy the scene... Heaven on a plate...We are not leaving...That's all! PS Be careful what you wish for...storm brewing, ferries cancelled...! Heaven ...
