hello family and friends,

today we left venice and headed to lugano switzerland. when we crossed the border and rounded the corner we were met with a view that literally took my breath away. i so wish you could have seen this most gorgeous view.

Oh My God what a day! Speaking of days.. yesterday we took the Lago Maggiore Express involving 2 trains, crossed into Switzerland had lunch and shopped in Locarno then boarded the boat for the 3 hour ride back to Baveno. I have now crossed the border and am in Switzerland. Not that you would know it as there are no border checks and Locarno is actually more Italian than Swiss. It is a little confusing trying to work out if I am supposed to be speaking italian or german(swiss). Locarno is known for having a warm climate and been rather tropical with the most sunshine in a year. It is right on Lake Maggorie and the lake actually is in both countries. ...
