... falling steadily. Were we to spend much time outside at all, we’d quickly get soaked as it is now coming down fairly hard. All of our traveling companions on the tour have blamed us for the rain, because they all assume any rain originates in Oregon. The mountains that surround this city are shrouded in low clouds, and it appears that the bad weather is socked in for a spell.

We stopped a the the downhill ...

... I can count, but Joey and his friends were very kind in trying to teach me. That night we went to Jon's house for a true Norwegian dinner. Jon is from Norway and studied at PC a few semesters back. It was great to see him and catch up.

The next day Joey and I explored Maihaugen, a museum dedicated to the old ways of the region. They have an old village set up along with houses ...

... work but fun. We managed to pack everything safely for the ride back - except a big mushroom which was quite mushed by the end of it all.

We went for a walk in the forest. The landscape was so strange in this particular area, low ridges of rock ran parallel through the forest, ten or twenty meters between each ridge. Between each ridge in the mini valleys it was wet and soft, one beautiful valley was filled with this grass that has what looks like a cotton bud ...
