Life in Stalida.....
... and the church bells ringing it became a little tedious, and the nanny nap again made an appearance occasionally. Night number three wasn't an issue though because we had worked our way into the way of the plateau, with fatigue demanding us to bed and sleep arriving soon after.
But now, we are in Stalida, the Everest Apartments, down by the coast about 30 km from Heraklion.

An easy day for site seeing
Slept far more easily last night, having become far more accustomed to the noises of the plateau.
With no real plans we breakfasted and then went on tour - firstly to the church where Joseph was christened, then the windmills on the ridge overlooking the plateau and then to lunch by the big tree.

Day 99 - Elounda
... all intended to have an early night before a comparatively early start tomorrow morning, but when we returned to the hotel we found out that Yannis the manager would not be around tomorrow morning to settle up with. He was due to return this evening at about 11.30pm, which led to Mike having to sit in the bar waiting till nearly midnight for his return so we could settle the bill.

I could scarcely believe it when the waiter handed me the menu and brushed my hand for a little too long.
