we stayed here for 2 weeks in oct 09 .we love elounda anyway but loved our stay at the sunrise.the first week we had low floor and we prefer high rise so we asked if we could move and the 2 brothers who run it moved us to alovely apartment no problem.rhonda who runs the pool and bar and does the cooking is a lovely lady nothing is to much trouble …

Up at 3am. Taxi arrived 4am and took us to Victoria Station where we caught the 4.30am Gatwick Express. When we arrived at the airport we found a stupidly long queue to check in for Easyjet. It moved fairly fast but we still spent about 45 mins before we reached the check-in desk.

We were really pleased we spent the extra money for air-conditioning in the room as the temperature was already 31 degrees by 9 o'clock this morning. The girl's usual breakfast at home is baked beans on toast, so you can imagine their delight when we found Heinz baked beans in the supermarket here – clearly due to the English tourist influence. So their day was started for the first time in over three months with baked beans on toast.
