Who would have thought that a volcano in Idaho would have thrown so much ash into the air that several feet of it landed all the way into eastern Nebraska? It's a kick to have a Valentine's Day dinner in Valentine, Neb., but not to be outdone, we'll be back in O'Neill for the Big St. Patrick's Day festivities there, including the parade with the famous green horse!
Orchard is a delightful community just on the edge of the Sand Hills and off the beaten path -- which is a very, very good thing, if you love rural Nebraska as much as this man from Palmer, Neb., does!
