A Little bit of North Africa

... you name it. Tunisia was really wonderful although, while it is a secular Muslim country, is still outwardly very male dominated.

From Tunisia we flew on to Casablanca, Morocco where we met up with our new group. Food and hotels did not live up to Tunisia but we still were comfortable here. Apparently there is not much to see in Casablanca except for the Royal Palace (which is beautiful), and the Hassan II mosque ...

Arriving in Africa

... the hot desert all day with the associated fly coverage.)  The boss chose the side.  Unknown to me, it was very hot.  Discovered it was a very bad idea to drink coke to wash down spicy food.   First thing I noticed was how different the smells were.  The smoke in the air from distant fires, not familiar at all, because they were burning olive tree wood.  Very different, very memorable.
