... the lake is lined with over 1300 of them. This is apperently not true, according to the locals, house boats have always been a part of the area and culture here. The boats range in quality and size but most have the same basic design. The all have rooms for tourists and most are family run. ... literally couldn't fit behind the seat in front of me and with the bus packed there wasn't anywhere for them to go. Still, luckily it was for only 5 hours.
