... night at this bar called 520 which were really cool. I told you to look at the menu! The cycling was really funny. We hired a bike each for €6. We wanted quads but when we went into the shop there were these girls that had fallen off because their quad had stopped working so we just thought nooo. We wanted a good route and asked the lady in the shop and she said yes yes go north it's nice. Turns out that going north was essentially all up hill. It was worth it though, we ...

... we started watching the shore for approaching cars. An hour later---by now P and S had woken up, C had packed all our things and we had some breakfast---I got a call from Michaelis. He and two colleagues had reached the shore of the bay and I went to pick them up at a small pier next to a beach that would probably brim with life a few hours later. ... narrow lanes between the buildings and the towns and wandering these taking in the dramatic views is a major past time for visitors. In the middle of the caldera (center part of the volcano which caved in under its weight when it did its big eruption) there are some island bits that have hot water beach and some venting still going on. The cliffs rise up to 1,000 ft above sea level and display volcanic colours of red, black and browns adding to the visual ...

Santorini proved to be an amazing place.. That was when we finally reached our hotel..after an hour of walking around..up a mountain side with 20kgs of luggage (EACH!) we finally found our hotel tucked away in a row of hotels along the cliff side. We dropped our bags and went to brekky overlooking the Caldera. We then took a walk along the coast looking out at the Aegean Sea. When we could finally check in we put our bags down and, admittedly, had a power nap.. ...
