The hotel I'm staying, is situated at the end of a long gravel/dirt driveway roughly 500 m from the main road where I need to catch this bus. While waiting in this dust mess I'm asking myself why no ...

Driving along the main road heading towards the beach, my hat blew off and disappeared – there was too much traffic so i could not stop. Goodbye hat. I drove through a small village then past some touristy parts of the beach, then along a dirt road that became very bumpy. Soon i arrived at Plaka beach. I found that the ...

... of people waiting for the ferry. The ferry was only 5 minutes late.

I got on, left my bags in storage and found a seat. Once on i sat, used the internet, updated and ate lunch – left over cold pizza. I also did some reading. It was only a 45 minute trip and as soon as the ferry arrived in Naxos i got off, grabbing my bags and heading for the dock. I had found out that the hotel/hostel sends a van to ...

... so Lachie went to pull over and it was a close call with a wall but once again we came away with no scratches and a good story to tell. We saw some amazing views of the mountain, and it seemed you didn't have to drive long before you saw the water or breathtaking views. In amongst the barren land was the beautiful whitewashed buildings, or blue and white churches and plenty of cars to keep us alert. I refused to drive on the road, but had a little go on ...
