The restaurant fell quiet with a few minutes to go before midnight as almost all patrons were in silent contemplation watching the time tick over on their iPhones. A most odd sight; with nobody wanting to jump the gun and declare the start of the New Year before it was officially endorsed by Apple to do ...

Numerous people live downtown, by the waterfront, riverside, where buildings like the Marina Towers means it's possible to never leave your home as all the amenities and offices are right there. This next part of my blog I decided I will do in three parts. One for each city. Chicago, Frankfurt, and Thessaloniki.
Beginning with Chicago, it was a whole day ordeal just to get down to the airport. We wanted to leave by 11, but when have I ever been on time? We ended up leaving closer to one. There was a last minute trip to walmart for shampoo, conditioner, and a few other things, which turned out being mostly pointless. But I'll get to that.
