... on, broken by students or bent in the packing process. My co-worker and I spent a good half hour perusing Staples and trying to think of ways to build a stand out of book ends and paper clips, until she suddenly suggested making one out of a metal coat hanger. Hurrah! So that was today’s project, frolicking outside in the sun, bending 6 hangers into various pretty shapes until finally we have display stands! Yay! If I could bottle that ingenuity and sell it, I could make a fortune!

So after 6 months away and visiting 8 different countries, we have now arrived, reluctantly, back in England. Although its not as cold as we were expecting, which is a bonus!

We have had a fantastic time and visited some amazing places, and we are now hoping that reality doesn't hit us too hard!

She quickly makes sure I am cleaned and dried off and no damage is done to me !!!!! Well how was I supposed to know what a pond was ?? no one ever told me, not even mum or dad.!!! Must curl up in my bed now for a catnap after such an exhausting day.

It was really sad leaving Israel. The flight back to Heathrow was about 4 hours by Jumbo then we bussed it back to Cambridge an hour late after I mixed up the bus tickets. We reached the flat in Cambridge around 1 am exhillerated but exhausted. What a brilliant two weeks!

Well I'm woken up quite early to the sound of Granny's voice. She has come to collect me and take me back home with her.Granny looks a different colour !!! quite a lot browner, so she and Grandad have been somewhere hot !! Well all of a sudden, I am bundled into my travel basket, with a few of my personal things. Now when I go to the vet, I don't have my toys with me !!!! Just a minute....., I remember Granny packing loads of her clothes into suitcases and getting a bit flustered sorting out lots of other things, including that precious pony going off somewhere ...

Finally, a moment to write about our travels! Internet access (and time) have been difficult to find. We've done so much already, I don't know if I will be able to remember it all... Today was a visit to Rougham Airfield, home of the USAAF 8th Air Force (my particular interest being the 94th Bomb Group, 333rd Squadron) during WWII. Less than 2 weeks to go before we leave. We've sold 2 cars, 1 motorbike, agreed with friends Amanda and Jeroen to rent them the house, tidied the garden, had about 20 injections each, handed in notice at work, bought 2 round the world tickets, created a travel plan... Rachel feels like she needs a holiday. I'm starting to feel excited about getting on the road.
