The valley within which the house is situated provides some protection from the weather, but it is still not great - we could see, for example, that there was little prospect of any edible fruit on the fig trees.     ... The building was once owned by Henry VIII, during the 1500's. He gave the Chesil Rectory to his daughter, Queen Mary, or Mary Tudor. Her lavish wedding to King Phillip of Spain in Winchester Cathedral, nearly bankrupted the city and she gifted Cesil Rectory to the city of Winchester as part payment for the wedding.     ... met through that show that actually made it past the print drying on the cover of the tabloids. I, however, am not a big fan of the franchise, so can't say that had anything to do with our decision to sail on the Ruby yet again.     We relaxed today. Played Kieran and basketball as the court was empty. By coincidence, a basket ball competition then started, organised by the ship. There were 5 of us and we had to shoot baskets. It was extremely windy, making it very difficult. Neither of us won. Lynn and Lucy had another ukulele lesson ahead of their show tomorrow.
