... we decided to go for the train anyway. After a green tea Cornetto from the airport our train rumbled in at 15:10. It took us an hour to reach Bangkok station (HuaLamphong) in our third class coach, with several non-station stops: it seemed that the train had to wait at crossings for the traffic! ... this did leave us with a river of rain and drain water, up to our mid calves, to walk through to get to a taxi. In retrospect, it was just a funny moment. I wasn't feeling too joyous at the time though! Thankfully we managed to beat the gridlock and get to the station on time.
Just before we got on the train, we nearly got a severe Thai telling off. We didn't realise that we had to stand still to the Thai national anthem- hairy moment!

... I have ever experienced. Misha and I visited the Grande Palace and as a requirement had to wear sweaters...gross! At one point I literally thought I was going to faint and we were beyond relieved when we finally found somewhere to get an iced coffee, my favourite thing to drink here.
