... office a lot less and a bit cheaper, they were very helpful as I didn't speak Italian and they didn't speak Aussie . I went across Milan today and organised to pick up my bike tomorrow, looks like a fine machine and I am excited about the trip, though the guy at the shop said they were expecting rain in the mountains...bugger but u do wot u gotta do. At 10.00am this morning we travelled by train to Milan which took 1 hour 10 minutes. The train station was large but quite ancient and lovely. We then caught a taxi to the Hotel Sanpi. Decided to look around so caught the metro underground railway to central Milan and came across this most beautiful Cathedral called Milano Duomo. Magnificent. After leaving the museum there was still a couple of hours to kill before my opera started in the evening but this was not a problem in Milan. It is fashion week and around the galleria there were displays and modelling happening all the time. I got myself a drink and sat down to watch the models strut their stuff.Fascinating.

... to the low 20s of Antwerp. Took the shuttle bus into the city then 10 minute walk to the apartment. Wonders of cell phone GPS. Saves a lot of anxiety and shoe leather as to which way to go, particularly when about 50 odd touts descend upon you offering taxis, hotels and a bunch of other assorted delights. Probably a good thing our Italian is still in the developmental stage.
