      ... never rains, a cooker with pots, will be needed when in isolated areas, a cold resistant sleeping bag, I hope that is all now, or else it will blow up my budget.
      Tonight, I will meet Natalie, Alexander's sister, tomorrow I visit a former place of work in Meikirch , only a short ride from Bern.

      Our day began with an espresso and the girls sleeping in till 10AM. The jet lag has set in and the sleep schedules are off. The view from our kitchen window is enough to take your breath away and the fact that this is what I have to look at each morning makes me smile. It feels good here.

      ... watched the multimedia show at the tourist centre which told of Bern's history.

      Bern was briefly taken over by the French (napolean time) drawn by its wealth - they took their money and bears(?!). After a massive fire - the houses were rebuilt in stone ( common story across Europe).

      The view of the charming city was great from Rosenberg and we also soon saw why there were so many police officers all around the city today. There was the Basel soccer fans matching - ...

      We get into Switzerland by train and it's already gorgeous, all the mountains and lakes look just like every picture you’ve ever seen. Just look up Thun or Interlaken in google image search. I’m sure it’ll have pictures of what we saw from the train. It’s so amazing. I already decided to have a house here when I retire.
