    We reached Bern from Zermatt on Sunday morning. We had all day to explore Bern. After a quick lunch , we headed out with a map in our hand to explore all the important places to see in Bern,

    ... I had my reservation online in the US - there was no local number to call). It was a very small plane - 31 seats. Bern has a very small local airport, no large planes at all. I had arranged for a airline shuttle to take me into the city.

    When I arrived in Bern yesterday, it was really warm, probably about 80 degrees. Today, it is much cooler (thank goodness) and raining (yuck). Our regular tour program director apparently had plane problems so has not arrived ...

    ... skivvies. Suddenly we felt very overdressed. The reason for this strange behavior soon became apparent as we looked into the river itself.     We get into Switzerland by train and it's already gorgeous, all the mountains and lakes look just like every picture you’ve ever seen. Just look up Thun or Interlaken in google image search. I’m sure it’ll have pictures of what we saw from the train. It’s so amazing. I already decided to have a house here when I retire.
