Sixth week come and gone. On top of Gemmi pass, the famous Swiss alp pass, I had time to take two photos before I heard a very familiar sound. The sound of my iPhone ringing. Right here we also had the Bear garden. We spent some time sitting here looking over the entire city.
We loved Bern. It seemed so livable as a city. We really wanted to live in a swiss city like Bern. Maybe sometime soon:)
We found a southindian hotel and Masala dosas for snacks. We also packed some Indian food to eat in the train later.

Day 1 - Sunday. Travelling today by train to Switzerland, first a train to Geneva, and then a quick change for a train to the capital, Bern. Wow! is all I can say about the landscape from when we travelled across the Switzerland border - just sensational - gorgeous snow capped mountains on our left, overlooking Lake Geneva, and idyllic village scenes all the way. Bob reminded me that we are not in Austria when I said that I felt like 'breaking ...
... as it's 1/4 price as postage in Switzerland. I have actually used everything I brought with me but now that the weather is warmer and I won't be doing anymore high passes, I can ditch some of the warm clothes and souvenirs.
One thing I would consider bringing next time is a small camp chair. The ground is a long way down and very uncomfortable when you have a dodgy knee.
I had such a wonderful lazy day - I even turned the TV on.
