Luckily the Greeks of Koroni were taking their afternoon sleep as we drove into the narrow-streeted village. We managed a quayside parking place without hitting our side mirrors or knocking over their parked scooters. The bougainvillea cascaded down the hillside, oleanders, the size of which we have never seen, flushed the town in a hue of pink and the restaurant waiters were in full voice! The bakery owner shared her homemade almond cookies and Ramo promised to return in ...

I myself didn't really care for the style before I began the class (still unsure how I feel, but I can at least appreciate it now), but it's really different to be looking at a fresco or mosaic on a slideshow or in a book, and then just being absolutely surrounded by them.

... Happy birthday sweetie!! You are so loved.

We had a treat at a water side restaurant and headed home as we all had too much sun. Jimmy, Athena, Elictra and Kliff and later Petros all stopped by to say good bye. Jimmy and Athena gave us some gifts to bring back to Canada. Such generous and kind people.

After a birthday supper of pizza (Haylee's choice) and singing Happy Birthday again with candles in cheese cake we ended our long but memorable last day in ...

... we went for a small walk along the beach strip and stopped for ice cream! After putting the kids down to sleep we settled in our patio for some drinks and enjoyed the breeze that came up along with a misting of rain. It was strange because we could hear the rain on the above awning but we couldn't see it on the ground, guess it was such a fine rain that it evaporated quickly.

We are a little more cautious of what we leave to dry ...
