And although I'm not a huge wine drinker, there were some pretty impressive wines there (particularly the sweet ones of course!)

It is Sunday at everything except the churches are closed. CLuj has several large churches, one of which is broadcasting its sermon into the plaza. 20 people are standing outside, listening to the service while facing the church. Not sure why they don't go in.

What a nice place we think and have in the evening sun a beer and decide to follow the recommendation and have dinner at the closeby Mediaval restaurant. We enjoy a really good dinner and fall asleep with the usual amount of satisfaction and tiredness

I did a really stupid thing in Cluj. I got off at the wrong place, just a little over-anxious I guess, but that's what happens when you don’t speak the language well. I wouldn’t speak it at all if it didn’t have significant similarities to the other Romance languages ...

The highlights of my stay have been the amazing Palace of Parliament in Bucharest and the Peles Castle in Sinaia, definately something that cannot be missed. The much talked about Bran and Rasnov castles were more a disappointment, it's hard to justify the half day trip their from Brasov. It was also a real buzz to go to the Brasov beer festival, waiting in a que over an hour for 50 cent pints ...
