Again and again, every week-end opportunity I use to get off Vienna and drive to CZ. So here I am!
Yesterday at night I arrived. Today I was shopping (of course) and will going for linner (neither lunch, nor dinner) with a friend of mine in Znojmo.
Around 6 p.m. I’ll be driving home to Vienna for a shooting and meeting my best friend.
40 Kms.... AM - We had the morning to look around Mikulov, which was a quaint little village. Had a look at the village square then the castle on the hill (no princess's in there today Adele)! Took a guided tour of the castle with English language headphones, the whole complex was set on fire by the Germans as they left at the end of WW2 so the interior has been redone but is not genuine. By then it was time to head back ...
... hot on the road, around 27C today. Then we quietly slipped over the border into the Czech Republic, well there's no real border or guards now so we just rode past the border sign, a bit like riding from SA into Victoria. Had to find this paved road which was used by the Czech Border police in the Iron Curtain days, a bit tricky, but we looked through Tomas' trillion instructions and we found it and cycled 7 kilometres along it ...
... issue and the Pynkva Cave was closed – not sure when it would be open but come back later.
So instead we visited another cave called the Catherine Cave about 500m from the ticket office. It was enormous inside, very interesting tour with an English speaking guide. The usual stalactites and stalagmites but in the main chamber they played music to show how good the acoustics are. It also has ...
Z Londýna to je už šup šup. Jak je člověk v letadle pak už to je rychlovka a než se naděje, přistává ve Vídni, bere si zavazadla (nic se nám nezatoulalo) a šup do auta a jede se domu.
Bylo to hezké a brzy snad zase někam ...
