On the road to Austria via Liechtenstein. Bern tells us that today is brought to us by the letter "S" .... Swarovski, Schnitzel , Strudel and Schapps :) We drove through some stunning countryside with soaring mountains and rolling green hills before stopping at the Liechtenstein capital of Vaduz. A really quaint little town with some interesting sculptures in the town square. Overlooking the town is the palace of the royal family. We had ...

... time when people were illiterate. Very colorful. On our way to Innsbruck we stopped and made our way up to Eagles Nest. The bus goes half way up and then there are some local bus drivers who take the winding and narrow road up the side of the mountain. What is great about backpacking with no fixed agenda or itinerary, is that you can make changes to your plans at any time, based on how you feel or based on things you read & hear. That was the case with our visit to Vienna & Kitzbuhel. We had not planned to visit Austria, but since we were so close to Vienna we decided to go there & since we were in Austria, ...

Innsbruck still We decided to spend another day here in Innsbruck, because Treas wasn't feeling that well this morning. I seriously think that she had over-stressed coming over the Bremer Pass, and so she spent most of the morning having a nanny-nap, before we took the bus to town, and did our usual stroll around. Now, a funny thing happened......we got off the bus, took 30 paces, and there, right in front of us was.....Swarovsky! Amazing! ...
