      ... the Museums of the Popes of Rome which has been built up over 5 centuries. It was amazing to walk through time from antiquities of Egypt and the Near East to Greek and Roman time then the 12th-21stC, rooms of sculptures, tapestries, carriages, maps of Italy and modern art.       ... figured out that we were supposed to get off at a stop that was about an hour or so back, in the middle of the route. We waited around for not too long, and ended up having the same bus driver on his route back to where we originally got on.       ... down the West side of Stelvio to the historic town of Bornio and then head over the wonderful Gavia pass and then just make my way from there.

      Well as you will see things as usual on this trip did not work out.

      I packed my boxes and went outside into the wonderful fresh air to load up the bike. It did not feel too cold but my poor bike was covered in ice and on looking at the temp gauge it was indicating the temp was a fresh little -2 Celsius.

      ... from UK so waved me through but the chap on the BMW who was from Switzerland was checked.

      As much as Stelvio pass is off to my right from here I turned left to go and have a quick ride up the west side of Ofen pass. It was nothing great and after a few miles I did a U-turn and headed towards Stelvio.
