... we asked our waiter if we could hire a taxi near by to take us back to Goreme. "No problem" he said. 5 minutes later he pulls up in his car ready to take us home. That's what I call full service! Back in town we stopped in at the Red Red Wine Shop for a few drinks before going next door to enjoy our dinner lounging on cushions and listening to some live Turkish violin and guitar. All in all a great way to end our stay in Cappadocia before catching the overnight bus to ...
... since I haven't had a cafe mocha since leaving the states, I had them fire one up. It's a nice change to sleep in a very COOOL room, stone walls on all sides, and (again--this is the third time we've had a room with beds for two more people than we needed) big! Just a few minutes' walk into town, and very helpful staff. I must say that one's stay in any place is always made better or worse by the hosts. Here, we thoroughly enjoyed Perihan and her adorable daughter, Nimet. Both were so enjoyable, and on our last day Nimet said, "Don't go!" and gave me kisses and a hug. They really were wonderful.
