It's a nice change to sleep in a very COOOL room, stone walls on all sides, and (again--this is the third time we've had a room with beds for two more people than we needed) big! Just a few minutes' walk into town, and very helpful staff. I must say that one's stay in any place is always made better or worse by the hosts. Here, we thoroughly enjoyed Perihan and her adorable daughter, Nimet. Both were so enjoyable, and on our last day Nimet said, "Don't go!" and gave me kisses and a hug. They really were wonderful.

You realize that you are indeed there in flesh, but you cannot fathom that what you are seeing exists in nature and that you are lucky enough to be there to witness it. It is home to some of the most incredible land formations that don’t even …

... Autumn". And Darren said "oh, Ottoman." Hilarious. We stopped at a little tea house about half way, were we hung out with the Turkish couple from our group, and the many ducks, in a little hut on the water. It was very nice. As we kept walking along the trail we were chatting with a couple from Alaska and finding pictures in the rock faces, when we decided we should probably walk faster as the rest of the group had gotten a bit ahead of us and we couldn't see them ...

... yet nice although Sarah wasn't too keen on the goats cheese used in her gozleme. Or as Sarah calls it stinky foot cheese. While we were eating we found ourselves surrounded again by a number of stray cats playing cute for food. Usually we wellcomed this as both of us had a real soft spot for these furry critters but being the only people eating we found ourselves out numbered seven to two. One cat in particular was being quite insistent with constant meowing and ...
