    ... much a direct routing to Khania on the western end of Crete and from there along the coast eastwards to Iraklion. Unfortunately it was quite hazy again so couldn't get many good photos of the surrounding stunning views. We therefore resorted to taking shots of us inside the 'plane!

    Staying with Mick and Rose gave us the oppotunity to swim in the ocean a lot. Unfortunately the hot winds of hell blew almost the whole time and we felt like a hair dryer was taking our breath and stealing every bit of moisture from our bodies. The island is very rugged, rocky, windswept and so dry at this time of year. ...
