    It was fun to be on the road again travelling back to Chicago. We avoided Detroit this time by crossing from Canada to USA further north. Before teaching to border we had to make a stop at Tim Hortons. They are everywhere in Ontario!!! A Canadian icon. Coffee isn't all that good (our opinion!) but the other yummies are pretty good! It was about an 8-9 hour journey and when almost back to Chicago ...

    We hit Market Street and Union Station just in time for the furious rush hour, when thousands try to cross the bridges into Illinois after work. We sat for an hour waiting for our turn to enter the MLK Bridge. As I passed into Illinois, I noticed the fuel light was on. I could feel the car begin to stall. That meant I had to do the unthinkable and exit in East Saint Louis for gas.
