... It felt great to see our picture on the gates of the church. We were welcomed by the people of Turkey and got to perform some Turkish folk songs that many have grown up knowing. Ultimately, our concert was a success. The environment of the church contributed to the sacred atmosphere for everyone. The girls asked me if there was anything else I wanted to do before leaving Istanbul. I said I wanted one last Turkish kebab so we looked in their guide book and found a recommended restaurant with a rooftop terrace with a view if the blue mosque and the ocean. We then went and got my last serve of baklava with another rooftop terrace.
Then it was time to leave and start my very long trek back to Deni.
