    ... the Greek economy. We saw some ruins on our tour but overall the areas we saw were quite modern many with breathtaking views. Hamish suggested that we go to the Pink Palace but our tour didn't go past there. Perhaps next time! After the tour we got off the bus at Corfu Town and had a quick bite to eat in the main square.     Yesterday's day at sea was both very busy and also great fun. I had to give my final presentation on the First World War in the mid-morning and that demanded a bit of my time before hand. The presentation, like all the others was very well attended and well received. It is always nice to get positive feedback and by now people knew us well enough to be quite forthcoming.     ... All of us were turned off because of the smell of oil, grease, sewer, and garbage filling our nostrils. No... No one would want to live there. We did see an abandoned large house right next to the sea. ( The wish being that Jacques and Marina could walk out their front door, and walk into the sea ). It's price was well over 1,000,000EURO... And it was a drive, on a smelly, overcrowded, garbage strun beach with sharp rocks to cut your feet on on the way ...
