Incredible!! What a joy we had with Spiros as our tour guide today. We were off the ship with no problem at all and met Spiros exactly as he'd directed. We were immediately off into the mountains and so many local villages. The people were lovely, though we didn't see too many as it was raining pretty hard for about thirty minutes. Then, it brightened up. The first village we went through was Doukades. Very narrow roads - no way big busses could get through there. We soon learned ...
I now understand what a warm sea breeze feels like! We sit out on the veranda whenever possible and truly enjoy it. Luckily the last few days have been without rain; so we're not having to carry around a lot of extra "stuff" (raincoat, umbrella. . .).
Our tour today was 7 hours long because we drove far out into the mountains. Our first stop was at a Monastery. Now sometimes it feels like all we see is churches. They're beautiful--but very plentiful! ...
... great meals, lots of drinks, playing in the casino, and meeting for chats and LCR games. The week passed so quickly we couldn't believe it was time disembark.
We're now in Bruges, Belgium, enjoying Belgian beer, chocolates, and the quaint atmosphere of this UNESCO world heritage city. We'll share picture and stories about Bruges in the following weeks.

... others and boarded the coach to the port back to the mainland. When we arrived at the port in Greece, we were told that Zach and Steve had a surprise for us. They had managed to arrange cabins for the ferry to Italy!! Since it was a 20 hour ferry ride, we were all pretty excited to hear this, and after we boarded and had some dinner, 95% of people were straight to bed. ... 6 decks through the centrum on a huge chandelier. Met up with our team again and joined at table by 3 young ladies from Uruguay. I had scallops for entree that were so tiny - no bigger then my little finger nail. I have the photo !! After dinner it was a Beatles show. Too tired to continue socialising and the ship was on a bit of a sway. One lady in our team had to retire seasick - she'd never survive Cook ...
