... we headed over the hills to a headland overlooking St. George's beach. The walk was down to bay called pirates cove. It started high on the headland and climbed steeply down, following an old donkey path. The cove looked a lot like a smaller version of Phi Phi island in Thailand. A narrow strip of land connected it to the headland, and on each side the pebbly beaches looked out towards the calm, clear Mediterranean. We walked across the beach and ...

... and cruised through the hills towards San Stefanos. On the way i spotted a fox in a field. It was weird to see one out during the day, but maybe in this country people on horses don't chase them around?

upon returning to Corfu town, we drifted around the harbour looking at boats until the weather forced us back inside.
We spent the night the evening lounging around then got takeaway pizza for dinner. It was great pizza, proper italian style with a thin base and minimal toppings. A slow day but it was nice to relax.

... day in the cottage in Acharavi as we were moving to Corfu town for the remainder of the trip. There was an emotional farewell to the local street dog we had named Lola and a more casual goodbye to Socrates, as we knew we would run into him again.
The Peugeot was packed and off we went. Shortly after arriving we met Tatiana, who showed us to our flat. She was Russian by birth but fluent in both Greek and English. She was very blunt and ...
