        My fear came true when I woke up this morning… I was so sore from the day before I could barely move! I dragged my butt out of bed, stretched as much as I could, then went down for some breakfast, hoping that I would loosen up after a bit.         ... is used for concerts in good weather. We did not tour the interior or ramparts as there is on-going construction. From the arena, we strolled Via Mazzini, the high end shopping street of Verona. Gucci, Prada, etc can be found here. Great looking Italian fashions with prices to match. Via Mazzini took us down to Piazza Erbe where there was an open market set up selling fruits and vegetables, souvenirs and clothing accessories (hats, scarves, gloves). ...

        ... Soraighe". Great tasting, full body with a very nice finish. We even tried to buy some locally but could not find it. There is a website for it however - www.soraighe.com.
        The tour was a great way to get a first look at old Verona, a classic Italian town with a lot of old Roman construction including a remarkable arena.

        ... town and I could spend a whole weekend there. We departed Verona around 2:00 pm and headed to Azienda Agricola Gamba, where we had a guided tour and wine tasting. It was so beautiful and the wine was very good. We then headed back to Florence around 6:00 pm and got back by 9:00 pm. Very successful weekend in the cities of love.
