... something I'd not had before and something totally American. So biscuits and gravy it was. So the biscuits are basically a savoury scone and the gravy is kind of like a cheesy white sauce. Not what I would imagine biscuits and gravy to be. Tasted amazing though and the girls said I was having something very southern and a proper Texas breakfast. So good!! Loved breakfast but we had the most annoying screechy women on a table next to us we ...

We'd meant to mention in the previous blog, that many of our stops have been in towns along the railway network. As the long, long trains pass through the town, the horns are sounded – hence the last thing we hear at night is the train and also the first thing in the morning!

You would start at the top level and if you got the ball into the side holes the ball would move down to the middle level, but if you got it into the middle hole the ball would go straight to the bottom level. Sam did pretty well for the first 9 holes, ...

Mat and I drove to Dallas around 10am this morning. The girls decided to check out a museum in Oklahoma so we parted ways (tear!) but it's only for a few days.
There was a fair bit of traffic as we neared the Texan Capitol. We pulled in at maccas for a standard wifi stop and looked up lonely planet top picks. The sixth floor JFK museum was rated highly so we wandered down to Main ...

Mike and Jacki live in the community of Flower Mound, north of the DFW airport. We made a stop at the Tom Thumb grocery for some adult beverages and some morning eats!

The evening's activity was to meet at Anamia's Tex-Mex restaurant in Flower Mound. The four of us have been there before, and we were looking forward to a return. The freshly ...
