By the time the kids finally got to sleep it was usually well after dark and I found the driving bloody hard, the roads being pretty good but all the road markings faded and with constant stream of oncoming traffic it had me cross eyed after an hour or two so couldn’t make the most of the silence. After the runza, we went into the Cabela's across the street. We must have spent another 90 min or so just wandering through Cabela's. That was a nice stop; we bought a present or two for family, but I'm not telling who!

... bigger than a typical hotel room, but not a 2 room suite like we were blessed with at Scott AFB. We went for a walk around the area; Offut boasts the country's largest "field house" (a gym), in an enormous former hangar that did the mods on aircraft during WWII.
Tomorrow (Friday), we are staying in Omaha, going to look at the SAC museum here, and possible some other places, too.
We had been furiously decluttering our house for our airbnb guests by taking car loads to parents' house. It's mentally taxing because I didn't realize how much junk we had. It's ridiculous but at least it's over.
