    I plan to stay in Marmaris until Saturday, then go to Fethiye to look at another boat. I have no idea how long I will stay here in Turkey; it depends on several things. Here are just a few pix that I took while having lunch today at the marina. Love and best wishes to all.

    A day on Crete, enjoying great mild weather, some 4,000 year old culture, fruits of the forest, home made wine and our first ever swim in the Mediterranean. Not a bad life. Another city (Heraklion) shut down by protests, this time students against police violence. We teamed up with our kiwi posse and hired a convoy of taxis that did a few of the sights.     ... contain very ornate tombs carved into the stone walls. These are Hellenistic in style and look very similar to Petra. Wealthy people and royalty were buried in such tombs. The Dalyan River is not so deep and meanders amidst the bullrushes. It is very peaceful.
