... my liking, we have had perfect weather.

Tonight was formal night but we did not dress up again. Tonight there were not as many people eating on the Lido deck as in previous nights, but there still was a fair amount & it was tricky finding a clean table. We commented on the fact that this is the 1st cruise we have been on that we have to hunt down a bartender or server. Normally they are in your face all ...
Da Nang, Ðà Nẵng, Vietnam kiberkid... make a special trip into Da Nang to buy a new cord for the computer). Some things were surprisingly OK despite being in some water, such as the modem, our two fans (although only the lowest speed works on one of them), the fridge, the washing machine. The latter two were lifted onto the kitchen bench, but would still have taken some water. Despite all this, they work OK and the beer seems cold! Sue had some fancy shoes made, which were in the flood, but they have recovered ...
Hoi An, Vietnam markrob... it actually doesn't hurt
that much (better than waxing) – although you do feel a slight
pinch. And yes, afterward my face does feel smoother. So I'm a
believer now – and I've seen ads for it in the States so I would do
it again.

After our “beauty treatments” we have another Hoi An delicacy “white
rose” dumplings with fried shrimp/frog. At this ...
Hoi An, Quảng Nam, Vietnam carlaandmike... a few times the wind was so strong. It was nuts, kind of a weird feeling.
When I got back from walking around, I found out we were in the "eye" of the storm. I rallied some people together and jetted off to the beach to see the massive waves. On the way there I was almost blown off my bike, but it was worth it. I found huge massive foaming beasts consuming each other in a whirlpool of dangerous under-toe and shrapnel. It was pretty crazy. It ...
Da Nang, Da Nang, Vietnam spidey788... at back with 4 bikes and 7 people. I had my ipod on as I rode and it was a cool feeling of jammin' out to tunes while crankin' on the moped. I will miss D & K a lot though. They will always be my hommies!
-Robin Fawcett
[Thanks for reading and watching my entries]
Hoi An, Quảng Nam, Vietnam spidey788... stuff that we refused to buy as it wasn't what we'd asked for), and paid a very decent price, shipped it back to England and got on with some good old fashioned sightseeing...

We took a 5am bus out to My Son (pronounced Me Son), some Cham temples from the 12th-14th century, an hour from the city, for a sunrise tour. The sun had already risen before we left Hoi An, but we were able to explore what remained of the temples (massively reduced by American bombs) without ...
Hoi An, Vietnam ianandfinola... stroll into Denang Town center in swealtering heat to find a Moto Taxi to take us down to Hoi An.... Very easy to find, you just stop the first bike in sight and arrange a price and he brings his friend on a bike so you can both have one! We left at 4pm, it was a really, really nice journey to Hoi An.... Although it did feel a little unsteady with backpack aswell.

Da Nang, Vietnam sedge_and_dave... and came back to laze around the pool.

Today Nat and I rented a motor bike and headed to the beach to have a look before we climbed aboard the sleeper bus to Ho Chi Minh City. It was a tough journey. It took us 24hrs. 12 hours to Nha Trang, a two hour wait and then onto another sleeper for 10 more hours.. we were wreaked when we arrived in HCMC.
Da Nang, Ðà Nẵng, Vietnam spidey788... of them that formed a cheesy pop band staying at the hotel. One of the singers, Missy, invited me to their show that night after dinner at the Seventeen Saloon about 8km away. They had to go warm up, so I stayed at the hotel and joined the Vietnamese family for a huge dinner with 20 people all staring and laughing at me the whole time. Any words I spoke in Vietnamese got a rise out of them and caused the whole table to erupt with laughter. The ...
