    ... to Verona a change of trains and then on to Milano. Our taxi driver was a bit late because of traffic. He decided to take us down the Roman road to avoid the main roads.     ... We settled into bed, Sue earlier than Richard who was booking tickets for our next 2 train rides - Trento to Milan and then Milan to Cinque Terre. It is the busy summer season so there were quite a few seats already sold out. In the middle of the night the storm hit, and what a storm!     ... white is used to appear there - the Sala del trono (Throne Room), and the Chapel of St. Andrew on the first floor.     After lunch we visited Runkelstein Castle, a medieval fortress built in the 1200's. It's main claimm to fame is the large number of period frescos painted about 100 years later. After various periods of disuse and damage, the castle and frescos were restored for public viewing in 2000.
