Trianta Beach, Ialyssos Rhodes Afandou, Rhodes, Dodecanese, Greece, 85101, 22410-92521
Another beautiful day. Sunny 78 degrees on the island of Rhodes. We travel to Lindos half way down the island. To see the Acropolis were Paul spoke to the Greeks. A long climb to the top with a view to forever. Just outstanding. Back to the boat early to catch some sun by the pool.
I am going to upload a couple of pics from yesterday on Myconos to give you an idea of the beauty here.

... all we could of the castle, we ventured outside the walls to go check out some ancient ruins. On the map, there was a big green park with some old ruins labeled, and it didn't look too far away. What the map didn't show was that it was uphill, hard to find, and when we got there it wasn't a park at all, but just an ancient stadium and some old columns surrounded by ...

Rhodes, Dodecanese, Greece kandiehart... of little alleyways again and you realized that you had come back to where you started. It was fun and we spent about 4 hours in there and then walked back to the ship. Had a late lunch on the ship and went to our cabin to have our afternoon siesta and watched Get Smart on tv. We decided to have a day off the grog so watched the ship leave from deck 7 and headed to the Casino for a short time and then came home.
Rhodes, Dodecanese, Greece stephgraemeAfter a quick breakfast, we headed off to the port to catch our 9am ferry to Rhodes, but it looked like everyone else in Fethiye had the same idea. The boat was full of those annoying package holiday makers on a day trip to Rhodes.
After a rough ride, we bought our tickets to Athens (Rhodes to Athens €53 each, one way) and had the whole day to spend in Rhodes before our next ferry departed.
Rhodes was famous worldwide in the ancient world for the Colossus of Rhodes ...

I already miss Mykonos.
Thursday, Sammy and I went to this very exclusive beach with our Canadian friends called psaru ( i know that's not how u spell it).
You couldn't even get a beach lounge if you paid them but was amazing to see, beautiful people and amazing bodies!
On the way we saw a bike accident and thought twice about if we wanted to get back on our bike. We did however go and get bike helmets.
Friday we started celebrating ...
Next we were onto Rhodes, one of the most historically significant Greek Isles. We saw the medieval old town, the Acropolis (yes, Rhodes has one too), and the site where the Colossus of Rhodes presumably stood in ancient times. We also got in a little beach time and visited a neat pottery factory.
So here we are ın Ovacık. My cousın Kate ın England had a generous frıend who has allowed us to use her vılla here. It ıs a vılla town and so ıt ıs a bıt lıke a ghost town now. In fact ıt was 30c on the front step thıs mornıng. We are plannıng to walk to ...
Ovacık, Turkey janda... siege, the Turks won it under Suleman the Magnificent. This was the state of affairs until Turkey's disastrous backing of the wrong horse in the First World War, when the Italians, with the help of the Greeks, won it back. Then Italy went bad on them when fascism became popular and it wasn't until the end of the Second World War when British soldiers marched in, giving it back to Greece.
I asked the woman at the entrance to a watchtower where I could find the museum. She had ...
