The place we stayed in Barbaresco was really excellent. They did eventually stop unloading grapes, seemingly around midnight and in the morning after a great breakfast we got shown round the winery; Casa Boffa. The owner was the 3rd generation of the wine makers and his son was learning the business. They had 10 acres of vineyards, rented a bit more and produced 30,000 bottles a year.
