... After lunch the 5 of us went for a boat ride around Lake Garda which was beautiful. The captain even let each of the boys have a turn steering the boat which they thought was pretty cool. We were then going to go and have a look through a castle but it closed at 1pm! We didn't realize this and got there at 1.30pm. Oh well! We had dinner at the cafe downstairs from our hotel with John Daniela, and then when back to our rooms to pack up ready to head to ...

... got you on different rides. Luca was too short for some rides, Brodie wanted to go on different rides to Nick and some we all wanted to go on! So poor Paul had the job of working this out but he came up with a good solution. So we set off! Nic and Paul went on the Raptor first, which makes me feel sick just looking at it! Meantime Luca, Brodie and I went in to the Madagascar circus to save seats for the show that was about to start. The whole thing was in ...

      ... the old castle
gates and another bar or two. At the end of a lovely day, we hiked
back to the hotel and sat on the roof top watching the sun drop in
the sky while drinking Prosecco. Our evening meal was in the pizza
restaurant near the hotel again. Unfortunately the friendly waiter
      was not there again.
      Having waited ten years
to see the Italian lakes, we were not disappointed. What a wonderful
      place.

      ... it was a wonderfully
attractive place, soon confirmed as we walked into the cobbled
streets border with cafés and shops. We spotted the ferry berth and
the approaching 1960s hydrofoil, straight out of a James Bond film.
We suddenly realised that we could make it after all and dashed to
the ticket office to get our hop-on hop-off all day tickets. The
boat paused briefly as we boarded and took off on a two hour trip to
the top of the lake. The waves rolling down ...

      Four Lakes

We had opted for a very
scenic tour of a number of lakes instead of the short motorway route.
Our first stop was the quiet Lake Maggiore. The initial impression
was that the lake must be much quieter than the neighbours. We
enjoyed a stroll along the waterfront and stopped for a glass of coke
in a pavement café. We left the lake very glad that we had chosen to
visit some other lakes along the way to Garda and this decision would
      be ...
