... after we dropped anchor at Arkoi. Once at Arki, the water and its turquoise color were very inviting. I did my "toe test", and found it a little too cold for me now. Since we were being called to lunch.... I felt like I was saved by the bell. The leek torte lunch was as wonderful as it accompanying Greek salad topped with grape leaves. After lunch Dennus and Denise took his camera ashore to take pictures. I would love to have gone, but being in the throws of the last ...

Woke up early to see the sun rising as we approached Turkey. Went on shore for a Diane and Tony tour which involves walking, taxis and getting lost but you see all the good stuff. Stumbled on a Turkish bath house and experienced the real deal. A massage to remember. Bodrum is beautiful and very hot, hunting for shade all the time. Back on the ship and heading to Santorini tomorrow ...

... the terrace houses. I felt we rushed through many parts of it and I would have preferred, I think to have followed along with the Rick Steves tour I had listened to this morning. From there we went to the ruins of the Basilica of St. John where John is supposedly buried and also to the lone pillar from the remains of the Temple of Artemis ( a pagan God or perhaps Goddess I can't remember which at the moment. Between the two is a mosque ( used to day) which was built from ...
