... have booked in Corralejo and not here because it is too far, and the only hotel near this beautiful beach is Mellia which asked me something like 800 euros for 5 nights just for B/B.
If somebody comes to this hotel they should book on a full board basis, otherwise it will cost a fortune, as there are no restaurants around the area.

... thinking that it was a different nearby place.
This resort here was created around the original cove, because this offered a safe sheltered environment for beach activities.
Caleta is Spanish for cove and a fuste is a type of fishing boat, so this is how it got its name.
Caleta de Fuste will probably interest golf players, as there are golf courses here.

In this area there is tide and swimmers should be careful, however the central beaches of the city are very calm and are preferred by families with children. I realized that ...

There are clouds in the sky today, and I don't feel like going swimming.
It is a day of taking photos!
The stroll is great because there is a sea breeze that makes my walk pleasant.

The cleaning staff don’t come daily. They work 5 days a week, but I saw the lady 3 times during my 6 night stay. I asked for clean towels though even if the girl was not preparing the room and I was given what I needed with pleasure.
Here I will add something negative though. We wanted to have the day trip that takes place round the Island. The girl who was at the reception ...
Today was our last full day to enjoy Fuerteventura (tomorrow we leave for Lanzarote). We decided to go to the very south of the Island and enjoy the radiant sunshine. Our first stop was Morro Jable - resortville to the max. Tons of tourists combing the long sandy beaches on Christmas Day. Aside from the odd carol being played and the occasional Santa perched in the corner of a shoppe, you would find it hard to believe that it was Christmas Day. After cruising ...
Corralejo, Canary Islands, Spain and Canary Islands hvbaskeyDecember 24th, 2008 Our first full day on the island of Fuerteventura. It is spectacular - lunar type landscape with the occasional pocket oasis. Our rural casa (Casa Isaitas) is a delightful stay - I will review this little gem later on. Today we drove all over the north of the island. I will edit this entry in Lanzarote when we have more computer time.

Lanzarote, Spain, Spain and Canary Islands katstravel... and came back to finish the packing. I had a lie down while I waited for the washing to dry so I could pack it. Put the last few things in then weighed the bags. Both were fine so we put them in the car. Had one last look around to make sure we hadn't left anything then drove down to Tommy's to get Russ. He dropped us off and we went in (with great difficulty, it was rammed). A lot of flights were delayed so there were big queues but I managed ...
Caleta de Fuste, Spain and Canary Islands nicola.hudsonFriday the 13th! Had a cup of tea and some breakfast then got Russ's laptop out in order to sort my photos out and burn them onto cd so I can play them on the dvd player when I get home. Put some washing on so I'll be packing mostly clean stuff. Went to the bakery to get some bread for lunch, made a frankfurter baguette which just hit the spot. I had a little sleepy then went to the pool. I finished my book then had a swim. I chatted to a lady form ...
