... and I have been inseperable since for the last decade and more and it seems almost like our kids are destined to be blessed with the same closeness we have...but you don't actually know what might happen. There might be no kids, or they could be bor years apart or even live miles apart!! Then there is the fact that we might dislike each others partners...!! Who knows...
Pizza soon stops our thoughts and we head back to the hostel ...
... his mates hair with their cigarette. I assure him it would have been an accident and that he was more likely to burn my face with the cigar he has i my face. We have a laugh and he asks where I am from. He guesses everywhere other than Scotland and is convinced I am Canadian. Funny that as almost everyone thinks I am Irish or Canadian over here. Anyway we have a laugh with a pair of Harry Potter glasses and then I head to the bar. When I get back he ...
Perth, Western Australia, Australia followingmyfeet... for work rather than travelling. Again there are hardly any Brits out here; mainly Japanese and Germans/Dutch.
So far have been to King's Park, which is this gorgeous park on the top of the hills which looks out over the city and river. To Fremantle, which was much larger and tackier than the guide books suggest, but does the best fish and chips this side of the southern hemisphere! Been up the amazing Bell Tower which is a ...
... a posh car and taken to kat's and josh's house to carry on drinking. and save for an hour or so passed out on the sofa, this is what i did until sunday evening. thanks to laura's interesting cocktails. this day was interjected with sightings of dolphins in the river and drunk/hangover football in the park.

... text back, I'd already booked my trip up there! All the regular bus companies were pretty steep & it actually worked out cheaper to do another tour, with all food etc included. We visited the Pinnacles on the way which is a National Park full of thousands of limestone pillars that rise up from the sand dunes. We also stopped at Monkey Mia to see the dolphins, a wildlife park to hold a stimpson python (really cool! Made me contemplate actually buying a pet snake ...
Perth, Western Australia, Australia dixie87Back in Perth now for a couple of days. At Easter it seems that all of Australia goes camping so we couldn't get into any of the campgrounds north of Perth which is where we are headed. We are having to hunker down in a campground in the Swan Valley surrounded by wineries and gourmet food outlets - shame really. Here are some pics of the various wildlife we have encountered so far....
Perth, Western Australia, Australia liznrob... were not meeting Sara at home til 5.30pm. It was teeming down as we stopped at Harvey for cheese, when we stopped at Armadale for lunch and as we picked up items at the Jayco dealership for minor repairs on the van. We were a little early arriving at Mosman Park so we drove to Left Bank for refreshments and then walked along the Swan River path - finally the rain had stopped. The drive into Perth saw us pass through Wokalup, Wagerup ...
Perth, Australia millersofozA really early start yesterday (Sunday) morning, but after checking out of the Medina and saying goodbye to Hazel and Mike we headed to the airport to catch a 9.00 flight to Perth. Our taxi driver was a really nice young guy who said that he was originally of middle-eastern stock but he had been born and raised in Sweden. He said that he had decided to come to Brisbane to do his degree, to avoid distractions, by which we took it he ...
Perth, Western Australia, Australia nickadams... boot! Oh, dear. After laughing my coffee up, I did get my first glimpse of the Indian Ocean (sniff...insert "tear" here). Back at the backpackers, I met Udi, an Israeli, who was really nice. Normally, I suck at directions (you know this, Frederick), but then there is Udi - supreme champ at getting lost, but sure he is on the right course. Sorry, Udi, you know I am only teasing! We went to the waterfront to see part of the Red Bull Air Race, which was awesome, and ...
Perth, Western Australia, Australia dudeonthemove... up to Anfield to watch Liverpool a few times each year, so we've had some great times together over the years.
As we drove through the Perth suburbs, and travelled the last few streets to their place, we realised that every road in Australia really DOES seem to look like Ramsay Street from Neighbours?!
Pretty soon we were in Challis, home ...
