... So I left them and went to the Basilica Cistern. It's an underground cave like structure, with water and fishes and orange lights and upside-down medusa statues. Pretty cool. ... t quite get the concept of queues! For all the hype I didn't think very highly of it.. just an empty stone structure. Well, I've admitted to being a heathen before! There was a very friendly cat who had learned to pose for pics.. not that cats are really what we went in to see :-)

The heat was getting to us.. 33 degrees and 90% humidity was too much... we boarded the Hop on Hop Off bus without the hop on hop off facility :-) Taking the bus through the Europe side ...
