      ... beautiful  being the Tomb Of Sultan Selim II. The sarcophagi  themselv es are covered in a green baize. Some of the sarcophagi  were tiny and were obviously  those of  young children.  In the evening we had perhaps out nicest meal in a restaurant with views across the Bosphorus.       ... made us hungrier. Eventually we ordered dinner; I had a nice plate of kofte, salad and chips with a beer deejay kindly bought me. We sat after dinner for ages and ages, first discussing deejays strange financial situation (she had spent 600 euros during our sojourn in Istanbul had begun, almost entirely we figured out on tattoos) and then settled into a pattern of reading and chatting and watching videos.       ... which is an underground water storage facility which was built by the Roman Emperor Justinian in 6th Century. I could imagine it would be really atmospheric if there weren't 100s of other people in there with you. Impressive feat of architecture and quite beautiful.

      This evening we met the group we would spend the next 6 months with. For a quick run-down, we have 16 people. Stats as follows:
